Yet another Backup-UPS ES 500 with Continuous Beep

Hi,

I have a BE500-BR UPS with serial # KB072610234 thathas the following symptoms: from time to time starts with a half second duration beep tone. The LED stays green while beeping. This beeping state may last just a couple of minutes or go up to half an hour (very annoying). The electrical load connected to the UPS stays powered while the beeping occurs.

I need advice on the cause, please.

I replaced the battery with a new one and it solved the problem.

hi, also have the same problem. I have apc back ups es 500. product info behind is BE500R-PH serial no. 5B0835T02179. green light stays turned on with continuous beeping sound. plugged and unplugged but problem remains.
