Y splitter for SBC50?

I have a SUA1500 (Smartups 1500) and this uses the RBC7 battery. I was thinking, what if I buy one of these splitters. Could I then combine two batteries together to use at the same time in the SmartUps?

Hi

I'm not sure that the Smart UPS firmware would recognise the 2nd battery or how the UPS would behave when on battery.

This obviously hasn't been tested by APC as the UPS wasn't designed for this.
