I have an XS 1500 that today switched over to battery, ran the batteries clear down and died. It will not switch back over to line voltage. I removed the unit from wall power and plugged it in again. At power on and with no load on the UPS: the battery light come on solid; the green light line indicator blinks 15 or 16 times then shuts off; battery light remains on solid.
- Unit has been unmoved since I changed batteries in it in 10/2015 (have not changed loads on it either)
- Verified line voltage at that outlet is ~119.9 volts and 59.95Hz
- Reset breaker in back is not tripped and all outlets work
- Cooling fan is running
- No electrical changes anywhere in the house in months
- No other evidence of electrical issues
- Batteries are apparently good because the UPS ran the stuff it should for the expected time.
UPDATE: I reset (disconnect load, disconnect from wall, disconnect internal battery, hold power button 10 seconds, plug battery back in, plug back into wall). Lights the same, but I now get four short beeps at regular intervals (I think verifying it is on battery). I have again verified line voltage at the outlet, no issues there.
I am open to thoughts.
Thanks

Hi David,
The 4 short beeps is signifying that the unit is on battery.
While from what you report the voltage is good coming from the wall it could be distorted which is causing the unit to go to battery. I would suggest trying to adjust the sensitivity to low, direction are found in the manual on page 4 link below, and see if that allows the unit to run in a online operation.
