Why doesn't UPS turn back on?
I have an APC BK300C UPS. When AC went off recently I immediately shut down my iMac plugged into it and turned off the APC unit. Later I wanted to get just one address off my desktop and tried to turn the iMac back on for just a minute. It wouldn't get any power at all.
Today I did the battery test for the first time in two years or more. Previously the APC unit ran for 5:45; this time it ran for 6:35 before shutting off completely. I bought a new 12v battery thinking it was time to replace, but both batteries show about 12v on my tester, and in fact the old batter shows slightly higher. So evidently it's not time to replace the battery yet, but why couldn't I restart my iMac since I had only used a small portion of the 6:45 time?
