I need to replace the ups on my phone system. I had a old APC BK400 but the electronics are bad.
I tried a new BE350 but you have to press the on button if it goes to battery and discharges the battery completely. I need one that will turn back on when the power is restored.
Thanks for your help

The BE350R, along with the rest of the backups line should switch to a low voltage sleep mode when the battery is exhausted. This is indicated by a beep every 4 seconds for about 30 seconds or so. The UPS is waiting to utility power to return and should automatically power on when it does.
If the power goes out in an unusual manner (IE. power comes back for 2 seconds and then cuts out again), it could cause the UPS to go down "hard" and then manual intervention would be required.

Hello,
Do you have any runtime requirements? Do you know how many watts the phone system draws?
These are important considerations when sizing a UPS.

The BK400 worked fine for years. The phone system says 1.25amp at 120v. Runtime is not important. I just do not want to go to the site to power back up.
Thanks
