Which UPS is 'online'?

Hi all 😄

I am going to buy 2 Synology NAS-machines (to put alltogether 16 disks in them), and want to protect them with an UPS. I will buy APC, but after studying it seems the best choice is an 'online' UPS (which routes all power for the connected devices through itself, as opposed to an 'offline' UPS, which lets the devices get the energy from the wall outlet and tries to take over when a power problem occurs -> but it should be in time to do that, apparently this can fail and for that reason I am told I should simply use an 'online' UPS).

I was thinking of buying a Smart UPS 1500, but it turns out this is, even for that price, an 'offline' UPS? (http://www.apc.com/products/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=SMT1500I&ISOCountryCode=gb)

Is this true? If so, what UPS would be suitable for this home setup?

Would anybody be willing to help me out?

If you are referring to the UPS that has 0ms of transfer time then it would be our SmartUPS RT. This product family uses a Double Online Conversion Topology and is sometimes called Smart-UPS Online.
