Where to send dead batteries

I work with an E-Waste processor in the USA. We try to avoid getting sent old UPS units, but they do occasionally sneak through. Where can we send the batteries? We are not looking to replace or Trade Up. We simply want to send them back so they get properly recycled. Will APC take back the batteries even if we are not buying a new unit?

APC will not take the batteries back directly.

The location APC sends batteries to is:

20 Carbon Place
Jersey City, NJ 07305-1125

You will of course need to pay the shipping to this location because APC will only provide return shipping if you trade the UPS in or buy a new APC battery.
