Using a APC 500 120V @60hz UPS on a 50Hz supply?
Hi,
I've an APC 500 120V @60HZ UPS that I'm currently using. I'm planning to move to a different place where the power is supplied at 220V-240V @50Hz. I've a step-down auto transformers and an automatic servo stabilisers (100-240V)supplied at my new housing that converts the 240V to 120V at 50Hz. How much tolerant is the UPS to the lower frequency? Will it damage the unit if I use it at 120V, 50Hz? I don't want to throw the unit away if possible. Most of the frequency converters are ridiculously expensive.
