Is it possible to configure BE550G-GR such a way that as long as any device
plugged to backup socket and drawing power the UPS ignores main switch depressing?

Hi,
The main switch is the on off button so no there is no way to disable it. If you are concerned about accidentally hitting the switch you can cover it with a piece of cardboard. However, doing so my violate local electrically code so if you plan to cover the switch you should check local code first.
