Greetings. I am seeking a unit that does both UPS function and power conditioning. My client has been experiencing problems from brownout conditions in her neighbourhood. This has led to data loss.
If anybody can suggest a unit that would work in a small home/office, any input most appreciated.

Power conditioning = everything that conditions power ie.: voltage regulation, noise filtering, harmonics cancelation, etc. Most UPSes do voltage regulation, noise filtering and voltage surge protection plus back-up power - all APC units do these things. What you have to know beforehand is how much watts your client's equipment need. For a typical office computer + 19" monitor, a 500-700VA unit would be enough, this unit would run for approximately 15 minutes on battery and would offer voltage regulation, noise filtering and surge protection.

Thanks for the post. I found yesterday a unit that was just a power conditioner, but could not find it again - shoulda bookmarked. Anyway, I was wondering if the UPSs also did power conditioning, and now I know.
Thank you.
