UPS 1300

We have a UPS 1300 with a swollen battery in it.  We have replaced the unit, but aren't sure what to do with the old one.  The battery won't come out, took a lot of work to get the cover off.  Any suggestions?

Hi,

If you purchased the replacement from APC.com using the trade-UPS program you should send the old unit to APC and it will be recycled. 

If not, most cities and towns have recycle programs for electronics and batteries. You should check with the local agencies.
