Hello Folks,
Basic system configuration:
Lenovo Pentium Dual Core (not core-duo) E2220 2.4GHz CPU,
3GB RAM
MS Vista Home Premium Edition 32-bit OS
I have two Back-UPS units:
#1=Back-UPS XS 800 (manufactured in 2003 or 2004 I believe)
#2=Back-UPS ES 550 (newer, more recent product)
I installed the latest PowerChute Personal Edition 2.2 software in the hopes that I would be able to see and configure the UPS' settings. The problem is, while Windows (Vista Home Prem.) see's both, Powerchute will only report the status of the 'newer' model, the ES 550. If I unplug the 550, Powerchute will revert back to the XS 800 model and show the status, etc. If I plug the 550 back in, PowerChute will onlyt report status on the 550 once again.
It seems as though Powerchute Personal Edition can only report/show settings and status for the newer UPS by default, so therefore I'm unable to configure the settings for both units simultaneously.
This is what I have tried but doesn't work:
Unplugged the XS 800 unit, waited till PowerChute reverts back to reporting/seeing ES 550. I configure the settings that I want, save and shut down. While shut down, I plug in XS 800 and remove ES 550. Reboot, PowerChute shows the XS 800 model but with the settings I created for the 550. I want to configure the XS 800 with different settings, but if I try to do this, shut down, remove XS800 and plug in ES 550, reboot, again, I see the settings I just made for XS 800.
There's got to be a way for me to manage/separate these two units withj their own distinctive power settings, yet still give PowerChute the ability to report status and configs for both models as separte entities.
Any thoughts/suggestions/quick fix are welcome and will very much be appreciated.

unfortunately, you can only run one instance of powerchute on the computer and each instance of powerchute can only monitor one UPS at a time as you have discovered.
the typical home user generally does not need this functionality so it is not built into PCPE to monitor two UPSs on one PCPE installation.
you either have to manage them separately on the same computer at once, but can only use one of them to gracefully shutdown the PC or use two separate computers.
with Smart UPS and larger UPSs, there are different options and ways of doing this because in a server room/data center environment, there is usually more than one UPS.
hope this helps 😕
