I just purchased a dozen SUA2200XL units and battery addons through the TradeUPS program.
I have received the shipping labels.
Questions:
1. I need cartons to ship the old units back (mainly SUA2200RMXL3Us). The new units came on wood skids (one per UPS). These skids were closed with plastic straps that are not reusable. Any idea how to reuse these cartons since I don't have access to straps such as these?
2. Will the UPS labels even cover this kind of crating? The units were shipped by a provide carrier.
Any other Ideas and returning these things?

Hello,
I would recommend calling APC support at 800 890 4272 option 4.
We can setup a UPS freight pickup of all the units at once. We have the option to pick them up "loose" or in a box, pallet, or any other packaging material. Please have your order # available.
If you run into any troubles, direct the rep to this post as I work on the escalation team.

Thanks for the accommodative response. I did as you instructed. After some push back from the APC representative and his manager (despite referring them to this post), they finally set me up with a UPS (deliver company) bill of laden for freight service pickup for 7 Loose UPSs. The pickup instructions specifically say "7 Loose UPS's need to be picked up. Inside pickup".
This process took approximately 90 minutes since the APC rep needed to open a support ticket to accommodate a freight pickup. He said he needed to treat it as an RMA (I think the problem had something to do with UPSs system).
Five minutes ago, the UPS (delivery company) courier just left my location without picking up the units. He refused to pick up loose units despite the instructions. He called his dispatcher and the dispatcher also refused the pickup, so the units are still sitting here. He mentioned potential damage to the units and the fact that since they weren't boxed that they could be misplaced/lost once they got back to the shipping dock.
If it helps at all, the subject of the email I received from my APC rep is "UPS FREIGHT BOL - PRO # 735501690"
The BoL has a reference number: RN c1-637867925.
How should I proceed?
