I bought this NS 1250 on 4 Aug 06. It's worked nearly continually since. However, on 23 Oct 11 it suddenly failed, causing my computer to immediately lose power. After pushing the UPS power button, the unit beeped repeatedly and flashed the Replace Battery led.
I'm not surprised the battery had reached its end of life, but I'm astonished the UPS didn't give me any advance warning. APC Power Chute was running and had recently reported several very brief outages.
It's ironic that the very device I bought to prevent my computer from losing power in fact caused it to lose power!

Hi Jon,
Thank you for patronizing our product. Replace Battery flashing indicates that the battery is not being recognized by the UPS (battery disconnected). If the battery is properly secured it could mean something else like UPS has encountered internal fault due to power problems that it has encountered.
I would suggest you to try swapping the battery from a good known similar UPS or trade it up with a brand new UPS and take advantage of discount.
