Mine APC UPS is for home use and I cannot really afford to buy a new one after the new computer. I guess I will just have to turn off the computer when we are gone--a pain but it may be necessary. Everything I read seems to indicate that 8.1 and my unit are not compatible. Does Microsoft ever make older UPS units compatible with their newer OS or should I just remove my UPS from my desk and find a home for it?
