Numerous members have voiced a desire to have the UTS10BI support more than one 240 volt device/circuit. I believe the following may provide a solution/workaround to do so.
In particular, I would appreciate comments by APC technical support, but also welcome comments by all readers of this post. Attached is a page from the APC Site Preparation and Installation Guide that includes my notations.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE PROPRIETARY DOCUMENT CONTAINS MY NOTATIONS AND SHOULD NOT IN ANYWAY LEAD A READER TO CONCLUDE THAT MY IDEAS ARE WORKABLE. PLEASE LET APC TECHNICAL SUPPORT MAKE THAT DETERMINATION!

Part of the problem is that this UTS only supports 20amps. We have had many requests to change this but at the moment, this is still a fairly small scale switch. I can't really comment on your attachment because as you know, we don't recommend doing this although I can tell you that I've never heard of anything successfully doing this.
