SmartUPS 700-Battery Charge Lights Blinking-Powerchute Report Inconsistent

I have a SmartUPS 700 with serial connection to computer and new batteries as of October 2010 running Powerchute BE 8.0.1.609 and Windows 7 Professional. All 5 battery charge lights are on but blinking. Powerchute reports Device Status:Battery Discharged but also reports under Battery Charge: 100%. UPS load is 20.2%. Line Voltage and Output Voltage are the same at 124.1. Battery Voltage is 27.5. Runtime remaining is 3 minutes. Any idea what's going on.

Are you using a genuine APC battery? Do you have the model and serial number by any chance?
