Smart APC Powerchute Network Shutdown Required Licensing (Windows Server 2019)
I have a small business with APC UPS backup devices on every device, servers, PC's, security NVRs, etc.
There are two Dell servers, both running Windows Server 2019. The main office server has two virtual machines (Hyper-V), and the other server is in a remote structure that connects to our network via Ubiquiti Nanos (WiFi), which uses no virtualization. The servers and security NVR are on Smart UPS-Backups (C1500), and everything else is on a Pro version UPS backup. Typically a Pro 1500M or 1000 series.
I want to install Powerchute Network Shutdown on the main server so I can gently shut down and restart the servers gently and remotely in a specific sequence to avoid some issues that I am having with DHCP and camera registration when we restart in the wrong sequence. The other items can connect to their host via serial connection and shutdown without the need for a remote restart. They can be brought back up by the individual users as needed.
I am confused about which licensing, if any, I need. Can I accomplish shutting down the remote server, NVR, then VMs, and eventually the Physical server with the free version? Do I need one of the licensed versions?
