A couple of weeks ago, my BR1500MS blew out with a loud pop, followed by an acrid odour. I contacted SE support, had a chat giving details and front panel readings, and the next day a replacement BR1500MS2 was shipped under warranty. In just over a week, the replacement unit was installed and running. I don't know whether the replacement unit is refurbished or new, but it certainly has the appearance of being a brand new unit, complete with cables, manual, etc. So that's my excellent experience with APC/SE support.
