Series 300 transfer switch starts and runs genset after a stormy, rainy day
We were installing Solar PV at a residence with an existing ASCO Series 300 transfer switch on a very rainy day that required opening the large ASCO enclosure for a couple hours. Afterwards, the large propane fired genset auto-started and ran and stopped a few times. Then it stayed off after we were complete with our work. The electrician dried things off with a towel before closing the door.
Next day, the generator came on, still was a rainy day, and ran for hours without transferring house loads. Seems to be in the 'excersize' mode and none of the membrane buttons on the outside have any function. A couple of them are lit and using the manual left behind by the original installer didn't provide a solution.
Tested and replaced the 9 volt battery on the circuit board because voltage was approx 2 volts.
How can this system be made to run again? Is there a way to reset things after it all dried out?
