Hello,
I have a SU2200NET and recently replaced the batteries, but the ups still reporting a "low battery voltage" condition.
Googling a little I found that i need to recalibrate the ups. Then i did the following actions whithout any results:
1. I did a selftest, the ups went to batteries and returned to online power, however the UPS still reporting a "low battery" condition.
2. I did a runtime calibration, the ups went to batteries for a while maybe a 20min with a little load attached and then returned to online power, however the UPS still reporting a "low battery" condition.
What else should I do to recalibrate the ups?
This are my ups data taken using NUT:

doing this procedure incorrectly can result in less than desirable results for those of you looking to do it as well. and different units require the values to be different than "8C"
thus, before proceeding, i recommend checking with APC support to ensure you have the right value to perform this procedure and if you don't, proceed at your own risk.

Hello
Problem solved.
The awesome solution is described in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAwMRn15z60&feature=related
When you replaced your batteries and you runtime still very low and the UPS's Battery LED lights are blinking without a full load.
If you use Linux and NUT (Network UPS Tools) Follow these steps:
1. Stop NUT
/etc/init.d/upsmon stop
/etc/init.d/upsd stop
2. Open minicom
Configure the following serial port settings:
port:/dev/ttyS0
2400 baud
8 data bits ==> 2400 8N1
1 stop bit
no parity
Xon/Xoff (Software flow control)
3. Press "SHIFT + Y"
UPS say: "SM".
4. Enter "1" two times, with a two second pause between the two.
UPS say: "PROG"
5. Enter "0" This will report back the current state the ups is in.
A perfect running APC UPS will be at "8C".
6. Press and hold the "-" minus key to program the UPS to correct state.
You can cycle through the options until you get to "8C"
7.Press the "+" plus key once you havr selected the correct constant value.
8. Press "SHIFT + R" it should say "BYE"
9. Press "SHIFT + Y", Enter "0" to verify your program took.
it does, you have fixed your problem
10. Exit from minicom and start again NUT
/etc/init.d/upsmon start
/etc/init.d/upsd start
Regards,
Jose
