SMART UPS not so smart! (grin)
Hi Folks,
End user in this case - Smart UPS 1500 on power chute 10.0.5.301 for some odd reason the UPS keeps telling me randomly that the batteries in the UPS are "discharged" - just started showing up a month ago and the batteries are new in OCT of 21.
I get the email from the alert service - I login to the UPS and check the Battery Management under SMART-UPS1500 on the green menu in the browser and I get back:
Battery Status
Battery Status = Normal Battery Charge = 100.0 % Battery Voltage = 27.3 VDC Runtime Remaining = 25 Minutes
- Predictive Battery Replacement
Battery Installation Date 10 (mm) 2021 (yyyy)
Replacement Battery Re-Order Battery
So it's all happy and good but what's causing these constant " battery discharged" event?
Thank you for reaching out to the SE Community, my name is Jon and I will assist you with this query. Apologies for the late revert, would you happen to know what shutdown settings were you using in PowerChute Business Edition?
Kindly download the PCBE log files by following the article provided below and also send screenshots of the software and the alarm.
