SC-1000 running standalone (no computer) for home entertainment system needs to run a self test
I have just replaced the battery in my SC-1000 with a new RBC-33 from APC. The manual states i should execute a self test to clear the replace battery alarm. But the manual doesn't say how to execute a self test. There is no computer involved, so no powerchute. I do not even have a cable to connect it to a computer since it didn't have one with it when I ordered it directly from APC via an upgrade through APC three years ago.
Bottom line: I need to be able to reset the replace battery alarm on an SC-1000 without the use of a computer.

Hi,
The UPS performs a self-test automatically when turned on, and every two weeks thereafter (by default). If you power cycle the UPS it will run a self-test.
