Replaced the batteries

I just replaced the batteries in my XS800. Now when I plug it in online light blinks, then on battery light comes on with online light still blinking. Eventually it starts going back and forth between on battery and online with one beep each time. I have tried it in several different plugs and with or without anything plugged it to it. I get the same results regardless. What is my problem?

After just leaving it plugged in with computer plugged in to it for 20 minutes or so, it quit doing it and is online and working fine now. Who knows why it was misbehaving for a while. Thanks everyone for the help.

What happens if you try to turn it on when it isn't connected to utility power? Press & hold the on button, you should hear 1 short and 1 long beep - let go when you hear the 2nd long beep and it should go through the online blinking, on battery cycle (that's a self-test, normal behavior) and then stay on battery. If it does that successfully, then I might try plugging it into the wall and see if the behavior changes.

There may be too much noise on the line for the unit to come online for long.

I get the sounds you described then goes to battery. When I then plug it in I get the same back and forth between online and battery as before.

After letting it do that for a couple of minutes it stayed online for a minute or so then went back to the back and forth again for a few times. Now it is back to online, we'll see how long it stays now.

Seems to be staying online for longer and longer period followed by the back and forth, so I will leave it plugged in and see what happens over time.

If you have the PowerChute software installed, you could take a look and see if it lists any reasons for transfers to battery. You could also try reducing the sensitivity to low, see if that makes any difference.
