RUNDLL: C:\PROGRA~1\APC\APC

We are having problem with some of our computers with this error message.

RUNDLL
Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\APC\APC
The specified module could not be found.

I have uninstall the APC PowerChute Personal Edition 2.0, reboot, reinstall back again.
But the problem persist, it will not go away.
It passed the seft-test.

Has anyone ran in to this error message?

Thanks, it worked.

But, I have just one question, how come the original installation was working fine up till now?
I can see the problem has something to do with space between the words in the destination path, but it was working before with long path name (with spaces between the words).

I have the same problem and have no idea where it came from. I have not changed a thing on my computer and out of no where 3 days ago this pops up ever time I turn on my computer. I tried what you said to do above. When it came to the installation time it had the correct desination offered (same as what you suggested to type in). In fact, now that I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I now get 2 of them when I turn on the computer. Any ideas? Any help? Thanks in advance

i would go to start->Run->msconfig and try disabling the powerchute software from start up to avoid seeing the message when you restart then trying to start the PCPE software manually afterwards.

it seems like a rundll issue dealing with windows but i havent come across it where the above didnt work unfortunately.

maybe other people have come across this and cant post?

i am not sure to be honest. it seems like a RUNDLL/RUNDLL32 problem dealing with windows rather than a powerchute problem to me.

We uninstalled the APC software again, double check the in Windows Explorer to make sure there is no APC folder listed, reboot the computer to see if the error message will appear. It did not.

Download the APC Personal Edition 2.0 again, reinstall the software for the 3rd times, once we clicked on the Finish button, wait for service to start and there the message back again.

hi,

take a look below:

The error that you will see may appear as follows: RUNDLL - Error loading: C:\ProgramFiles\APC\APC Powerchute Personal Edition, the specified module could not be found

The solution to this problem is to change the name of the installation path. When installing Powerchute Personal Edition, the installation path is as follows: C:\ProgramFiles\APC\APC Powerchute Personal Edition. Uninstall the Powerchute software. Once uninstalled, start the installer. Once you are prompted for the installation directory, change the path so that there are no spaces or change the name of the install directory.

An example of an installation path is: C:\ProgramFiles\APC\APCPPE or C:\APC\APCPPE
