Hello,
I've looked and looked for an answer in the forums and cannot seem to locate one. I apologize if this has already been covered. I have several APC UPS Units in our home. All are connected to PC's, Video Gaming Systems and TV's
Today there was a single clap of thunder followed by a flash and the power in the house went out for a short time. When it came back on, one of the UPS's (RS-1500 / BR-1500 / SN JB0420024987) stayed on the yellow Battery indicator as though there was no power to that particular outlet and would not go back to the normal green status.
I tried the unit on several other outlets in the house and got the same result.
I swapped out the unit with one that was working properly (original outlet) and that unit works as it should.
I then removed the batteries from the one that stayed on battery only and inserted them into the other unit and that unit still operates as it should. Swapped them back and got the same battery status again.
I'm not really sure what to do at this point.
Do you any suggestions or ideas on how to clear this battery indicator led and allow the unit to operate on A/C mode again?
Thank You
Floyd

Hi,
We do not offer repair services but there is a company here in the States that does. You can contact coasttec.com. If you decided not to have the unit repaired we do have a trade-UPS program. You trade in your old unit for a new unit. We take the old unit back to be recycled and you get the new unit at a discounted price.

Hi,
Run a reset
1: Disconnect any attached load.
2: Unplug the UPS from the wall socket.
3: Disconnect the UPS' internal battery.
4: Push and hold the "On" button on the UPS for 5 seconds
5: Reconnect internal battery.
6: Plug UPS in to known good power source.
7: Turn UPS on.
If that does not resolve the issue the unit will need to be replaced.

OK, I've followed the steps that you listed and the problem still does not clear.
Since these are not cheap, where can I send the unit to, to have it refurbished?
Does Schneider Electric have a repair department or a service center?
Thanx
