Question about battery connector for Bx2200mi-ar.

Hello, today my UPS Bx2200mi-ar arrived, and I had two questions when I wanted to install it.

1) Is it normal that there was a spark when I installed the battery connector for the first time, without ever having plugged the equipment into an electrical outlet before?

2) How far does the same connector have to go? I placed it and it seems that it is a little outside, but with a little force it doesn't go in anymore, and I don't want to force it unnecessarily (I attach a photo).

It is normal for a spark to be seen. 

As for the connector, push it in until it makes contact but do not force it. The UPS will report if the battery is not connected.
