Hi,
I'm planning to buy a APC BE750G-CN from our local Ciruit City store. ( [http://www.thesource.ca/estore/product.aspx?language=en-CA&product=6118522] )
They say that the bettery last 70 minutes. But when i check the Runtime Chart on the APC website they say that it only last 2 min on full load, and 11 min on half load.
My question is, who is telling the truth? Who i should believe?
And an other thing i don't completly understand the full load and half load thing, can someone help me please.
My current UPS is getting old, and it only last about 1 minute (if i'm lucky).

This unit can provide UP TO ~70 minutes of runtime if you put ~50 watts on it.
So neither website is lying really..they both say the same thing. You could put an alarm clock on there and then have it last for an hour.
But a computer pulls more wattage so it wont provide 70 minutes.
also - half load means that the UPS is halfway loaded - so this model can provide a maximum of 450 watts/750VA. this means that half load would be if you are drawing 225watts/375VA. full load would be if you draw 450 watts or 750VA from the UPS by plugging equipment in.
also - if you have an older UPS, usually you can replace the internal batteries. they should be replaced 3-5 years. depending on the model, it may be more economical to buy a new one that comes with a new warranty rather than spending a lot of money on a battery for a UPS that may be upwards of 6 or 7 years old- APC's warranty is 3 years for this model as well as other "Back UPS."
