When PowerChute Serial Shutdown is installed, the installer puts a shortcut on the desktop and puts an entry in the start menu.
To see if the application is running right, click in the task bar and select Task Manager.
From within the Task Manager, select Services, and you will see APCPBEAgent. It should be set to Running.
