Just received my new Back UPS 1500. I removed and turned the battery (Green side up) then replaced it. Plugged my devices in then plugged the UPS in. All my devices work fine, but I am getting the Battery Bar Flashing and the chirping. I was able to mute the chirping. Manual says this means the battery is not connected. I have removed and replaced it several times, but there is no change.
Any ideas?

Hi Glen,
I just had this problem happen on my Back-UPS 1500 after owning it for close to 2 years. I tried reseating the battery several times with no luck. I got the dreaded F02 error a couple times when connecting devices to it so I tried ordering a new battery replacement and that didn't work either.
Today I went to get the warranty info from the bottom of the UPS. By happenstance I was still plugged in and powered on and as soon as I turned it upside down the battery connected! When I flipped the unit over it lost the battery. I've repeated this several times. For some reason my unit now only sees the battery as connected when the unit is upside down.
I wonder if you have the exact same issue and what the real fix is as leaving the unit upside down looks funny.
Tim

Hi Tim,
Thanks for this, but it turned out to be a defective battery. One of the metal connections on the battery itself had broken off. Amazon sent me an entire new unit and this one works great.
I appreciate your response though and will keep this in mind if this one stops working.
Glen
