A few days ago I used my vacuum cleaner and I plugged it on my UPS, after a while it stated emitting a constant tone of overload, after 30 minutes or so the sound stopped as well as my UPS, it wouldn't turn on anymore. I pressed the reset breaker button, did nothing. I pressed the on button, also did nothing. I thought the battery died, so I bought a new one, but it did nothing, still won't turn on. The UPS has more than seven years and this was the first or second time I overload it.
Thanks in advance,
Irene Rivera

Your UPS definitely sounds like it has been damaged and should be replaced.
The circuit breaker would click noticeably when depressed if it had tripped.

Some portion of your UPS has probably been damaged by the overload. You could try disconnecting both the replacement battery from the UPS and the UPS's power cord from the wall outlet. Leave both disconnected while pressing and holding the power button on the UPS for about ten seconds.
Double check that the circuit breaker really did reset.
Reconnect the battery and restore power to the UPS. If it still doesn't work, it has definitely taken damage and should be replaced.
I'd recommend against plugging your vacuum cleaner into any UPS, because it too could be damaged.

Hi, thanks for your quick response, I did what you said but didn't work, still won't turn on, sometimes it makes a light beep sound, but nothing more. By the way how do I know if the circuit breaker did reset it's just that the button for resetting is very loose. I am able to push it with no effort.
