I have a BACK-UPS 1100.
On the main board inside the device, there is a 40-pin DIP IC with the following markings on it:
(C) 1996 APC
K1V677--
PSr0134 A
356-0100 REV J
Though these markings were apparently made by APC, the IC itself bears the Philips logo on the upper left corner.
Is this an 8051-derivative microcontroller? Just curious.
Thanks,
-Ted

Anyone in a position to know probably can't tell you. Good luck, and I'd be curious what you find out.
