I just purchased an APC BR1500MS2 Serial number 0B2513L21089 on 10/08/2025 for my music studio from Amazon. I just open the box and plugged in the UPS. It shows that the battery is low with only two bars showing. The documentation says charge the battery for 16 hours however the Internet says this unit does not charge the battery. So my question is will the unit charge the battery or should I send the unit back to Amazon.
Note that I have three other APC UPS for my TVs and electric foot rests on our couch and I never had this problem before.

Not sure what you mean the Internet says the unit does not charge the battery?!? π€¦ββοΈ
Once the internal RBC has been properly inserted and connected to the system. And then connected to AC Mains it will begin charging the RBC immediately.
Do not turn the unit on via the power button until it shows 100% SOC (State of Charge).
Ignore the 16 hours and simply allow the system to fully charge and than display 100% SOC.
This may take up to 72 hours to fully recharge a RBC.

Thanks so much for replying. I left the unit on overnight and it is now at 100%.
