Hey hey,
I was gaming and all of a sudden the PC goes dead and there's a lound whistling like sound coming from my ups. I shut off my pc's internal power supply and turned the ups off. I turned it all back on and everything seems fine.
Question what does a lound whistling type sound indicate?
I know a beeping means the power if off and the ups if working. I've never heard this particular sound from my ups before.
Thanks,
AL

There's no specific overload indicator on your UPS, but if the power to your PC cut out immediately upon hearing that solid tone, then it would be an overload.
You mentioned "gaming". I wonder if your PC setup is much to powerful to be backed up by this 300W UPS. I would guess that this is true since the UPS appeared to indicate an overload situation.

Found the answer in knowledge base.....
2. UPS capacity is overloaded - unit will emit a loud solid tone, and the red "overload" LED will be illuminated, until the load is sufficiently reduced.
