I bought a new battery for my Back UPS Pro 1500 BR1500G in Mar of 2021. I did a self test from the Power Chute software and the battery failed - X icon. If I reset the UPS (unplug everything, hold button for 5 seconds, reconnect everything) it passes the power on self test. However a subsequent Power Chute Self test causes it to fail.
The battery is fully charged and works fine when the power goes out.
Is the battery really bad or not? Since it is under a 2 yr warranty I guess I will need to call APC on my next day off if it is dead
