Maybe I am asking too much? I have an ES 650G2 UPS and have it set to shut down an attached PC 2 minutes after a mains failure. The installation is part of a "holiday home" monitoring system and while under a mains failure situation, eventually the battery will run down, it would be an advantage to be able to shut down the PC but then continue with the UPS powering the alarm and CCTV for as long as possible, in case the mains returns before the UPS battery runs down.
The power requirement for the alarm and CCTV is minimal, which might give up to 2 hours running time, which is enough for me to drive over to the property and investigate.
The software is PowerChute Serial Shutdown, are there any suggested settings?
Thanks

With a Back-UPS PowerChute has been designed to protect the OS and allow for automatic OS restart. To enable automatic restart, the UPS must be powered off. The UPS will then power back on when AC has been restored.
A solution is to uninstall PowerChute and use the Windows native power options for OS shutdown. See Schneider Electric FAQ FA159653 "How to configure Microsoft Windows 7, 8,10, & 11 Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019 & 2022 to safely shut down without using APC's PowerChute software."
