I'm considering purchasing J10 or an S10. It's not clear to me whether the J10 produces a stepped sine wave approximation at all times or only when it's on battery power, i.e. does it produce a true sine wave when running on AC?
Thanks, Stuart

Hi Stuart,
The J10 will only output a stepped approximation sine wave when on battery. When online it will output filtered utility power so you will get a normal sine wave.
Hope this helps.

How many steps does the modified sine wave have? Are there specific UPs or inverters that have a multi step sine wave (16-32 steps for the full wave)?
