Hi Ant,
Extension cords are considered temporary devices and should not be used for extended periods of time. In addition, there should never be anything connected between the UPS and your device, i.e. surge strip, extension cord, power strip as these accessories can themselves be a point of failure. Any failure between the UPS and attached device would not be covered under warranty.

Bummer and thanks! I wonder if I can use an extension cord since some of my electronics are too far from the UPS. I was unable to find the information about it. π
