Intermittent batteries disconnect "bdc" -- new SRV3KI
Dear experts,
installed a new SRV3KI in Nov 18' connected to a couple of PCs, storage and a TV + PS4. load is at most 2 bars meaning around 20% in my estimate. Every now and then it starts to beep, flashing bdc on the screen... nothing I do has any impact until 10-15 mi later it sees the batteries again and resumes normal operation. Pushing the battery pin in the back to make sure it is good and checking all connections and nothing seems wrong. After multiple times of this happening, I contact APC support and they replaced the UPS with a brand new one shipped directly to me from the USA (end of Jan 19'). same thing is happening with the new one!!!! batteries disconnected "bdc" 2x a day sometimes less sometimes more and many minutes later sees them again and all is well. ANY ideas? what causes this UPS to lose battery connection and re-establishes it with NOTHING in the log files(no entries)!!! I had an APC Sales/engineer come to my house and he has no idea what is going on!
Frankly I think it may be a fault in theses UPSs but the Sales/engineer claims they are installed all over the place and this is a first.
find attached a video of one of the instances... the button I was pushing was the UP and has no impact on the operation, it was pure coincidence that it started working then.
