APC Back-UPS 600 switch on button and battery LED are constantly in red. No sound. No power connection. The device is not heating up. 3-4 years since purchase and usage. But the LEDs are working. Does it have possibility to explode? Please help.

It won't explode. 🙂
Especially with no heat.
Just stop using it and pull the battery out.
See if it will work as a power strip on the unprotected plugs.
If yes, just replace the batteries.
