The handy-dandy video for battery replacement says to turn it over and the dead battery will fall right out. http://www.apc.com/site/support/index.cfm/faq/
But mine does no such thing.
First my battery is perpendicular to the unit, not parallel like the video.
Second, the wires are so short I cannot get the battery out and even if I could get the top wire unplugged, I'd never be able to reach in the crack to disengage the lower wire.
Help!

OK - I figured it out. I stood on the old battery and pulled as hard as I could on the wires and they popped off. What a pain.
