On the unit there is a MASTER plug and SLAVE (controlled by master). I do not care for these ports wrt to the UPS controlling them. The "leaf" is not showing. I enabled (option+sound) - I see the leaf; and disabled - I do not see the leaf.
Question - when the LEAF is not showing, how should the MASTER/SLAVE plugs work when you disengage power from the wall?
My original thought was that with the power control off (NO LEAF) they behave as standard powered plugs and any disruption to power will maintain power to those plugs.
What is happening - they appear to be following the LEAF power logic regardless of the status of the LEAF. For example I have the CPU in "MASTER" and a strip bar with my 3 monitors and once I disconnect the power from the wall - the CPU stays on but the strip bar turns off. That should not happen. (or I don't want it to happen)
Either the LEAF is "stuck" and I need to do a full master reset to ensure the LEAF and it's resulting function is OFF. Or there is a "flaw" and I will just buy another strip bar and plug the remaining devices I need into a non-controlled plug - thus I won't be able to use the 4 "master + slave" plugs which is a pain.
(I do have the UPS plugged into the CPU to help with shutting her down safely; something that did not happen today thanks to this MASTER/SLAVE stuff; caused a bootup problem and I had to monkey with the BIOS/disconnect the drives to get it to boot properly - all is well thankfully)
TO SUMMARIZE:
I want *ALL* non-surge plugs on the UPS to work once the power is disengaged. I do not want the UPS to control anything.
Please advise - thanks!

Hi Jeff,
The controlled by Master sockets are located on the surge only sockets and have no battery backup function. Have you tried plugging the monitors to the Battery Backup sockets located under the master socket?
