I know this is old news but new news to me. I have a smart-ups 3000 and I need both front bezels. Have contacted various sellers on Ebay and some other venders but can not seem to locate any bezels. Any body have an suggestion other than exchange. Ideas would be appreciated. Joe

You're welcome and thanks for the update. I can't disagree on the spare parts. I know also that UPS is getting older so that may be one of the reasons why we would not have spare parts. But I didn't get a chance to verify the part number for that bezel. But in general, bezels are not something we often have many of to ship unfortunately.

Have you tried APC tech support to see if we have any? The only other thing I can suggest is CoastTec, our approved UPS repair service provider.
Per a previous post, tyler.s. might be able to help out. (Re: Replacement front bezels? was the previous thread I am referencing.)

Angela:
Thank you for your response. I asked APC Tech. support and since I bought it used they could not help me. Emailed Tyler and they have no extra bezels but offered to overhaul it. Any suggestions for another source? Could I use the bezels from a different model ? I also need the buttons that fit into front bezel.
Another question I might ask you is what is the max. charge current and can it be adjusted for a 15 amp. max. The UPS purpose is only to run a TV for 6-8 hours. So load on the UPS is not the problem, run time is the purpose of this UPS.
Thank You, Joe Zimmerman

There are many "Smart UPS 3000" units so can you specify the exact model from the white sticker on the back? I have a feeling you're going to tell me the model is SUM3000RMXL2U or similar but I would like to double check to answer some of your questions.
The max charge current is probably not more than 2 amps or so but I need to know the model to look it up. And no, the user cannot adjust a parameter like that on any single phase Smart UPS.

Angela,
Thank you very much for your persistence. Charging amp of 2 amps would be nice, but will wait for your answer as to what it really is. The Model number is: SUA3000, the serial number is: AS1143241281. Thanks, Joe

The value listed is 271W max charging power for this UPS. I would assume to change that to amps, you divide by the voltage of the charger or the float voltage? I am not sure but the this UPS has a 48V system and would float at ~55.5vDC. If I do it that way, I get ~5A - does that make sense or am I doing it wrong? Not a math major!

Thanks for the charge wattage. Looks like an 15 amp hook-up will do just fine. Was concerned when I saw that 30 amp/120 v cord on the ups. Has serial number helped in finding any bezels?

I think so on the bezel compatibility for SUA2200/3000, it will just say 2200 on it. I believe they use the same chassis.
Serial number doesn't help for finding bezels because it'd be the same part number that tech support checked unless they just did not check. Do you have a case number for that call where they said they would not help? I don't know if we even have them but I could double check the case and/or research the part number.
The UPS has a 30A plug because the UPS itself can handle around 2700 watts @ 120V so it could support 24A max and has a 30A plug/upstream breaker that should be with it per the NEC 80% rule here in the US.
Here is the policy if you will be modifying your plug: Can I change the input power plug on my 120Vac Smart-UPS 2200 or Smart-UPS 3000? | FAQs | Schneider ...

Thought I would up date you on what I have done. I found a parts (dead) smart 2200 ups on ebay and bought it for the bezels. I really don't understand why APC will not sell spare parts for there products as long as they make money. As far as the power cord goes it is nice to know that it is a accepted practice to change plug to fit wall outlet amperage with oblivious limitations. I was planing to make a conversion extension cord with 15 amp fuse.
Thank you for the help, Joe
