We have an APC Back-UPS Pro 280 and following a recent power failure none of the indicators are lit. The items of equipment connected to the UPS still work but not if the power is cut/disconnected.
The instruction sheet says that in those circumstances the UPS will return to normal operation when the power is restored and the battery has a sufficient charge. How long should this take? The power was restored over 24 hours ago and still no lights to indicate that all is well.

I agree. Might be time to trade in/up since a new battery probably costs almost as much as a new UPS.
Do you have the wattage draw on all that stuff? We will need it and also to confirm how much runtime you want to start looking at replacements. Also, any requirements on the bells and whistles we offer such as Automatic Voltage Regulation, LCD screen, etc

These are really old so my first question is have you ever replaced the battery in it? If so, when? Does anything happen when you press the power button?
If nothing has happened yet or when you touch the power button, it could've sacrificed itself during a surge during that power event and failed potentially. If that is the case, just know we offer a trade in service if we are unable to get it working.

To my knowledge the battery has never been replaced (certainly not in the last 6 years). Nothing happens when the power button is pressed, and no lights have appeared (3 days ago now). So probably best to replace completely? At the moment we only use it to protect a NAS, modem and a Linksys network storage link - what would we need to maintain 3 PCs and their monitors as well?
