FAQ: How do I get rid of my old UPS battery?
The facilities listed in this document are equipped to handle the return of used batteries from APC uninterruptible power supplies. Used batteries should be repackaged in the packaging from the new replacement batteries (RBCs) or Charge-UPS (CURK) and returned to one of these facilities for proper battery recycling.
If you purchased an APC Replacement Battery Cartridge in the U.S. or Canada, a prepaid shipping label will be provided to return the old battery to an APC battery disposal facility.
If you did not purchase an APC Replacement Battery Cartridge, then you can either dispose of the old battery cartridge at any local battery disposal location or you can pay for the shipping of the old battery cartridge to one of our authorized disposal facilities.
If calling from the U.S. you can also contact APC for more details 800-300-7141.
