Hello -
I encountered this problem after a power outage yesterday and have not been able to troubleshoot.
Problem:
The es350 emits a continious tone even with nothing plugged into it.
there is a red led light next to the power button which blinks 2x per second when it is plugged into the wall.
When it is NOT plugged into the wall there is NO flashing red light but it emitts a continious tone.
When it is turned off everthing is quite, but when you turn it on the lLED light starts green but turns flashing red immediately.
The back of the unit has
BE350R
380742X20074
Any help would be apprciated.

Good day Russ,
Based from the visual and audio indicators that your UPS presented, it tells us that your UPS has encountered a disconnected battery failure. This could mean a lot of things such as (1) the battery terminals were loose or is not connected; (2) the battery voltage is too low and; (3) due to the age of the UPS, the unit is already dead.
If you do have another unit of the model or is using the same battery, you can swap their batteries. If it would work, you can order a battery but if not it is best that you utilize the APC Trade-UPS program. Based from the UPS serial number it was manufactured on the 42nd week of 2007, this UPS is no longer in warranty. Our BackUPS carries a three-year warranty on them, if you believe that this is still within warranty, please present us with a proof-of-purchase. You can send it to myself or you can call our Tech Support Hotline at 1-800-800-4272.
