Okay. Macintosh I know nothing about. UPS installed so wife can back up work in case power goes out (ES 750). This morning message comes up, warning to back up computer as it is running off the UPS. Power button on UPS is showing green. Nothing around here indicating any kind of surge, momentary power failure, no UPS alarms. Aborted tech support call had me looking for PowerChute software. Can't find it on the Mac, but there must be something installed because of the message's appearance. Wife is very untechnical, so you can imagine what that conversation was like re: finding the supposed PowerChute. I was not here when the UPS was installed so no questions were asked about the UPS' operation, potential problems, how to use it, and the manual, such as it is, isn't helpful. So far, the message hasn't reappeared.
Any thoughts?

MAC's have UPS support built in. If you go to system preferences, then to energy saver, you should see these options. Check out the link below.
