ES 700 - No power from Backup Outlets
Hi,
I have an APC Back up ES 700 which I bought three years ago. It has worked fine until now.
I discovered that the "Battery Backup-Surge Protection" outlets of the APC back up is totally dead while the "Surge Protection" is still functioning normally. The battery is replaced and outputs about 13v. With AC-power connected to UPS it should passthrough electricity to the backup-outlets.
I doesn't matter if I have the AC cable connected or not, the backup-outlets are dead. If I simulate a power-outage and disconnect the AC the UPS lights green but no power from any of the outlets.
If I try to coldstart it, same error, no power from any of the outlets but led still green. Powerchute doesn't give me any info, it says that it works properly and that it runs on batterypower when I disconnect the AC.
I've opened it up and checked the two 40A fuses, they are OK. I've measured the relay and it seems to be OK.
What is wrong and what can I do about it? I've read many users have this problem but no solution. Some replace capacitors but that only fixes other problems, not this particular one.
