I have a esw350 that I am having problems with. I am able to pull the plug and it seems to run the computer fine but when I plug it back in it kills the computer.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I get very short blackouts(just figured that out due to the powerchute software), not enough to affect any of the other electronics in the house just the computer. I have a very old apc unit that worked for many years and recently it would not keep the computer from shutting down, it used to just beep once in a while and I figured it was low voltage or some such. When it stopped keeping the computer going I figured it was a bad battery. (heck it was ten years old) I wanted a new unit anyway so we got this one. Now I think it may be a flakey power supply. It's an old althlonxp 1800 plus system with one hard drive. I have only the computer on the battery outlets but I would like to run the lcd monitor on it also so i can see whats happening I will try the lightbulb test when I get some time.
Thanks
Bernard

I think it turned out to be a powered usb hub (vakoss). I noticed the dvd usage light on when the computer got killed by a power outage. I eventually tried unhooking everything and trying it and it worked fine if I unplugged the usb cord to the hub. Somehow its feeding power back through the usb card. An older 4 port (the problem one was 7 port) powered hub works fine.
