Do you guys have UPS's at home for your home equipment?

If so what do you have and what are you running on it? I seem to have monthly power blips and I get tired of watching all of my PC's get choked out without warning. I need to invest in a UPS.

What about you?

I have 5 of them at home :

3 APC 750 VA with network monitoring cards (1x AP9617 and 2x AP 9630)

1 APC Back-UPS 650 VA

1 APC Back-UPS 500 VA

The 3 750 VA are protecting the critical equipment in the house (Storage equipment and routers)

The 2 smaller ones are protecting switching equipment (Routers).

They are all connected to the home automation system and that will report is something is wrong with them.

I have a fully automated home and with these UPS's I can get notifed if someting goes wrong in the house even when the power fails.

Average runtime is about 5 hrs so if the power fails ( happens only once in 2-3 years) then I know something is wrong and are able to get back home in time.

Though it doesn't seem like a very glamorous item, I have had a UPS for many years, and wouldn't be without it.  I have a BR1500MS2 protecting three desktops, two NAS, and a 16-port switch.  If power fails, I loose Internet (router is in a different room and not protected), but network and storage remain accessible for safe shutdown.

I live part time in the capital of a country in South America were brown out and blackout's are quite common and often several times a day so UPS's are a most.

Our neighborhood has aerial high voltage lines with a stepdown transformer for each building which brings another problem because there are trees with branches too  close to the wires and often squirrels commit suicide jumps to this wires tripping the main protection fuses,  leaving one phase down for  many hours until the power company  people came to replace the burned fuses.

Since our condo have 3 phase feed as to power our 3 phase air condition units,  our main breaker panel balance the 3 phase supply to all around the apartment.

I have a 2 phase  Automatic Transfer Switch hooked to my 1000W smart UPS with it's network card feeding the router, the fiber modem, the NAS, the VOIP adapter, the network switcher and our multiple line  PABX.  In case one phase is down the ATS switch to the other phase right away.  This UPS has enough external battery packs to provide 24 hours of reserve time.

In another room I have a  1000W smart UPS with it's respective network card,  feeding a POE network switch which  power our 3 WIFI Access Points and our backup NAS. It also has enough external battery packs to provide 24 hours of reserve time.

And in both our bedroom and kitchen we have on each one a smart 1500W UPS with their network card to feed the TV and a computer, both UPS's with external battery packs to provide around 4 hours of reserve time as to watch something in the meantime when eating or resting.

My downstairs  neighbor has a very big lithium battery powered  backup with a Automatic Transfer Switch to power his refrigerator and part of his kitchen,  with a reserve power of around  a couple of days so I am not so crazy......  LOL
